“Living Together: Combining diversity and freedom in 21st-century Europe”

Strasbourg 13 and 14 november 2011

“Living Together: Combining diversity and freedom in 21st-century Europe” was the theme of a two day forum organised by the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) with the support of the Council of Europe on 13 and 14 November 2011.

The Forum brought together European civil society representatives, civil society representatives from Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries as well as representatives of European institutions and political authorities.

Thematic workshops and round tables focused on intercultural and democratic education and social cohesion in multicultural societies.

The Forum’s aim was to highlight the new multicultural challenges in European societies and identify best practice in NGO work concerning diversity.
