STRASBOURG (EMU) – The latest bomb attack in the Russian town of Volgograd was the 33rd of its kind since February 2013. According to available sources the criminal act is connected to the ongoing unrest in the Russian republics and territories of the Northern Caucasus region. This year, according to press reports, more than 600 people have been killed in several fights between Russian security agencies and so called “Islamic extremists“ in the Caucasus region and other parts of Russia.
