Around 250 scholars, European politicians and scholars gathered at the Hotel Juan Carlos I in Barcelona during the weekend of 17 and 18 December 2010 to celebrate an international congress titled “Muslims and European Values” organized by the European Council of Moroccan Ulema based in Brussels (Belgium) and the Union of Islamic Cultural Centres of Catalonia (UCCIC) based in Barcelona, which brings together 40 institutions in Catalonia.
