The European Muslim Union is shocked by the brutal violence in the French capital.
Strasbourg (EMU) – The terrible assassinations and murders in Paris, evidently committed by Muslim extremists, have also shocked the European Muslims. Our condolences go out to the victims and relatives.
Scholars – as well as the simple Muslims in Europe – are more than ever in agreement that this nihilist ideology manifesting in such pseudo-religious garb must be condemned.
The EMU will prepare a hearing with Muslim scholars concerning the question if the Khawarij and their ideology have to be considered as to be outside of Islam.
We consider ourselves called upon to continue to work together to defend the Islamic way of life in the face of such denigration. Our message to the terrorists is clear: you are alone in your nihilism.
Islam is and shall remain a constructive part of Europe.
